FAQs
What time do you open and close?
Our center is open from 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. We are closed on the following holidays:
- Good Friday
- Memorial Day
- July 4th
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day and the day after
- Christmas Day
- New Years Day
We do ask that your child is picked up promptly at 6 pm at the latest. A late fee of $1/minute may be charged for any pickup after 6 pm. We know and realize emergencies can happen and traffic can sometimes be tied up. We ask that you please call and let us know if being late to pick up your child(ren) should ever happen.
How much does it cost?
If you are interested in registering your child with us, please give us a call at (901)-837-7086 and we will discuss our weekly cost with you.
How many classrooms do you have?
We currently have a total of four classes in our building:
- 2 and 3 year olds
- Two classes for 3 and 4 year olds
- Pre-K
We also have a separate room for lunch and snack time. Here is the layout of our entire building and the classrooms.

What should we bring every morning?
Please see that your child has:
- A backpack - labeled with your child's name
- A complete set of extra clothes, including socks
- A sheet to cover the naptime sleeping mat that we provide. Please label the sheet as well
- A sheet to cover the naptime cot that we provide. Please label the sheet as well
- A blanket for your child during naptime. It must be small enough to fit inside the backpack
- Diapers or pull-ups, and wipes - enough for each day. We look to change diapers each hour in the toddler room, and 2 and 1/2 year olds go to the bathroom whenever they need to, and we remind them about going every 2 hours.
Backpacks may be left at the center on your child's hook throughout the week and picked up on Fridays to wash blankets and returned on Monday.
Please no sippy cups. We have our own to provide to the children! Our cups are washed and sanitized after each use.
Can we bring in our own food for our child(ren)?
Yes, you can! However we do serve breakfast, lunch and a snack each day. If you bring in food for breakfast, they must wait to eat theirs until the others are eating.
Are you open on snow days?
Please listen to the radio station during bad weather. We are most likely closed if Tipton County schools are closed. We reserve the right to close or not open the center at all if we feel there may be a danger or risk to the children or the staff. If we can commute here, then we will. So you may want to call the center just to check. You can text: @lalc2025 to 81010. This will give you updates on important messages for our center.
What is your sick policy?
If your child is ill or has a fever, please do not bring him or her to school. We spend much of our day cleaning and bleaching toys to prevent the spread of illness and disease. Please do not simply give them medication for a fever before bringing them to school. We realize that it may make them feel better but if they are contagious it will only spread to other children. This is to protect your child as well as all of the others. If your child has been sent home with a fever, they cannot return back to school the following day. They must be fever-free for at least 24 hours. If the cause is ear-ache or something that is non-contagious, you must have a doctor's note stating that they are not contagious in order to return without the 24 hour wait period. Please do not bring in your child with any signs of these:
- fever
- any form of pain
- frequent coughing
- vomiting
- signs of pink eye (red eye, oozing and crusted over.) This is very contagious.
- diarrhea - if 3 times in one day
- unknown rash
We will NOT give eye meds or ear drops. That must be done at home. However, we will give other meds if the form we give you is completed.
We are also on the Food Program, which in order for each child to be covered by this program, we need you to complete those forms with the enrollment application.
